Garry R. Gilchrist, P.Eng.

Garry R. Gilchrist is a Professional Engineer, registered in the Province of BC, with a background of academic training and work experience that has focused on construction and development of real estate.

As a founding partner of EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. in Edmonton, Mr. Gilchrist gained experience with geotechnical engineering reports, material testing and management from 1967-75. He then completed course work for a Master's in Community Planning, with emphasis on Urban Land Economics. Since then, he has attended the Banff School of Advanced Management, and has passed the BC Real Estate Board's salesman examinations.

Numerous projects have been managed or constructed by Aral. The role taken has varied from contractor, to construction manager, to project manager, to joint venture partner of turn-key projects. Mr. Gilchrist has acted independently as a court appointed receiver and development consultant. Aral's reputation and 'track record' with clients, subtrades and partners is one of very high calibre.

Over the past twenty years, Mr. Gilchrist has gained a wide variety of project and construction management experience and has participated directly in construction and development of real estate projects. Renovation and new construction have been undertaken successfully. Major projects involving difficult scheduling have been completed on time. A co-owner of Aral Construction and an independent development consultant, Mr. Gilchrist continues to demonstrate his ability to work with subtrades to create superior products, on time and on budget.

Adrianus (Art) B. Kool

Art Kool is an entrepreneur who firmly believes that positive, highly motivated workers are the key to a successful business. He has over three decades of experience with various business ventures, including construction, land development, construction finance, highway maintenance and trucking.

Since 1975, Mr. Kool has been President and Owner of Aral Developments Ltd., a building and development corporation with holdings in apartment complexes, warehouses and shopping centres. He continues to manage and direct Aral's associated companies, Aral Construction Ltd. and First Island Financial Services Ltd.

Mr. Kool has served on numerous industry boards over the past 30 years. He has extensive experience negotiating industry concerns with both Federal and Provincial governments. Mr. Kool is also a veteran of many labour management negotiations and has been asked by a number of unrelated companies in the past to resolve labour management disputes.

Mr. Kool, who emigrated to Canada from Holland in 1954, is a past president of Lions International, and supports Junior Achievement of British Columbia.
